Alex Hauglid (owner) went to Ridgewater college after high school, to get his NCCCO crane certification, where he then was a crane operator for 4 years. In 2022, Alex wanted more privacy in his house, so he ordered some architectural window tint and installed it on his house windows. He enjoyed installing it and seeing the before and after, he then started tinting his own vehicles, then friends vehicles, then Facebook friends vehicles, and then decided to start Minnesota Tinting Services in February of 2022!
The summer of 2022 they built a 1700 square foot shop to efficiently and effectively work on customers vehicles and have plenty of room inside for them. The new shop is heated and cooled, and also has a waiting room and a pool table for customers to take advantage of while their vehicle is getting worked on. In the spring of 2023, Alex’s significant other also started helping Minnesota Tinting Services full time, as Alex could not keep up by himself. In the summer of 2023 they also hired a college kid for the summer, and in January of 2024, they hired a year round employee to help when needed!
